We went to San Jose for Spring Break to visit with my daughter, son-in-law and beautiful granddaughter. My daughter talked me into going to the gym with her while we were there. We got there on Sat. and went to the gym Sun. - Thur. it really wasn't that bad. Anyway, we have plans to back to Ca. the end of June to vacation for a week and I may need to get in to a pool. To make a long story short, I joined a gym here in town to get in shape for the pool and to be able to run around with my granddaughter. My goal is to go as often as I can. I will keep you posted.

We just got back from San Jose, and as promised here are a couple of pictures of my granddaughter in the dress I made from grandpa's shirt. She loved it and now she wants a red one.

Recycled shirt

This is what I've been working on . I made this dress from one of my husband's shirts that he just happened out grow. It's for my 5 year old granddaughter. The front of the shirt is the back of the dress and the back of the shirt is the front of the dress. I took the pockets off the front of the shirt and used one of them on the front of the dress. I can't wait to give it to her. Next time I may try it the other way around, so the buttons are down the front of the dress. I will post a picture of Ella wearing the dresss as soon as I can.

Yesterday was the first day of spring and the weather was unbelievable. Today more believable, rainy and rather gray. I got my crock pot out and cooked a chicken, took the meat off the bone and decided on chicken pot pie. It was really good and hit the spot. The best part about it is, there is enough for 2 more meals that I don't have to put much thought to.

This is the photo box I made at a class on Wed.night. It was fun and pretty easy. I'm not sure I would make another one. The only reason I took the class was that I had signed up for a class to make

Christmas cards and it was cancled, so I signed up for another class to make cards and, your right, is was also cancled. So they offered to sign me up for the photo box class. There were only 3 people in the class, they were all very nice. I'm glad I went and hope they offer some more fun paper craft classes. I love going to classes because they have all the supplies and fun equipment that I don't have to buy and the mess is not at my house. And best of all I start the project and finish it.

My first challenge. I'm sure you have all heard that if you don't use something for 6 months you should get rid of it. Well, I was cleaning off my dresser and discovered my jewelery box full of pins and earrings a few necklaces a couple of rings that I haven't had on in months and months. My challenge is to wear at least one thing every day till school is out. School isn't out for almost 4 months, so I should get through most of it by the last day. I will let you know how things go.
